Growing up with a lawyer in the family opened Amanda’s eyes to the criminal justice system. She began to love true crime and current events at a very early age. This love of the law was encouraged when Amanda was able to attend various criminal trials while interning at criminal law firms during university.

Amanda spent over 15 years working with various teams as a “people manager” focused on hiring, training, succession planning and optimizing the performance of her teams within a sales or retail setting. After a pause in her career for back to back maternity leaves, Amanda transitioned her career away from retail and into transcription. As an Authorized Court Transcriptionist, Amanda now runs the onboarding and mentorship program with VideoPlus combining her love of the law with her skill for training and teaching.

Being organized and detail-orientated with a love and skill for providing an excellent client experience working as an Authorized Court Transcriptionist gives Amanda the job satisfaction she craves while allowing her to be more available for her family when needed. During any down time you can find Amanda cheering on her children at lacrosse, boxing or ballet; throwing parties with her closest friends and figuring out how to sneak in a run.
